Final Zoetrope Artwork

As part of my introduction to animation project we were required to create a final piece based around the idea of the traditional method, there zoetrope. The idea off the zoetrope Ian that you create 12 illustrations all lined up in order and when span in the zoetrope machine they create the illusion that the image is moving.

For our own personal Zoetrope the idea was to create 12 different illustrations which appear to show our historical character from the shoulder up turning 360 degrees. Below shows met final panels in which I created for my zoetrope piece. Ion my panels you see my historical character Valentina, circling round in her original space suit, therefore showing context into her story and character.

However, unfortunately due to current situations we are unable to see how our zoetropes would work therefore to give a sense of life to my animation I loaded the separate images into premier and played around with timing to create this animation seen below. I decided to copy and paste the animation so you can really see what it would look like if looped.

Overall I was really happy with my zoetrope as I felt it really communicated the personality of my character whilst showing the skill of the drawings within the angles and posing I chose. If I was top add or improve e anything else, I would think about perhaps adding a secondary animation, maybe moving in some stars or adding a planet into view. However, overall I feel this was quite successful.
