After Effects Experimentation and Lecture
We also created an animation in after effects using the technical workshops. The idea of this workshop was to create a firework explosion using key frames and alteration their scaler timing and even rotation. Below shows some screenshots I took during the process and how I changed and altered to create a more realistic animation. Once again we were provided some files to work with, them being the firework png and the background. This was helpful as a new after effects user. I personally found after effect quite complicated however, once I followed it closely in the rerecording I managed to take it slower and follow the step by step pausing when I needed to.
Above shows my final animation for this, I got a bit lost towards the end therefore I've uploaded what I completed as for a first time user I was really happy with the result and found interesting to see how it can be used to play with more professional elements such as scale and timing. It also taught us how to show some of the key principles such as, arc, anticipation and timing all of which are key elements of making an interesting animation that engages the viewer.
