Adobe Animate Experimentation and Lecture
As part of the introduction to the animation project, we were tot able apart in a r Ange of workshops showing us the basics and techniques for different animation software. The first one wow were tot are part in was a box walk created in Adobe animate. Below I included a range of screenshots all from throughout the process and some key steps we built to help create the overall animation.
We began with some files that were provided for us, so by choosing the Strat box walk this gave us a blank canvas that was already et up with the measurements. This was a helpful element for someone who has never used animate.
Once being taught the basics of where and what the main components are we started by drawing a simple square, as our main animation object and a line to act as the ground to guide us during the creation.
Below shows the timeline in which once creating the objects we had to decided the timing. For example we want the line to remain constant throughout the animation ,therefore, there were only two key frames, one at the start and one at the end of the animation. Tis meant the line would stay constant and would not change without a keyframe between. This was different to the box which was based on keyframes as this was the object we were animating.
Above shows the starting of animating the box. This was a simple process which involved adding a keyframe per turn of the box. To make sure the square turned in the right place we had to move the access to the bottom right corner to help create this look that box is pushing off from that corner and flipping over. I repeated the complete flip over twice to make sure there was a clear walk.
Once doing this we wanted to save time so instead of creating constant keyframes and walking it across the screen we converted the shape in a graphics symbol which would create a single block of animation instead of individual keyframes. This cloud then be copy and paste and adapted using keyframes to change the placement and keep this illusion that the box is walking across the screen. (As seen below)
Once we had got he use abnimationdown we wanted to add more life into the object and add some fo the tweleve principles. Therefore, by double clicking on the symbol bar we are able to access the key frames and edit them individually. Therefore, I then used the transform tool to edit them shape and create this idea of pressure when lifting off the ground. This adds. fun element to the animation and brings more life.
Once doing this I added a second symbol, that looks like dust t create this idea of movement and impact. This was created similarly however instead we imported the graphics and layered it on top of the symbol creating a connection between the tw and making it more believable.
Above shows the final animation, I am very happy with how this tuned out and once following the technical sessional a slower pace using the recording I was able to create amnestying animation that taught me about animate whilst still looking effective.
